Project Update!
Today I made another tonal painting out of a small section of the window mainly focusing on the opening mechanism. I also began making 3-D wire models of the window, I am excited about doing some 3-D work for a while as I have not done much so far in that area for this project. I would like to make a large scale model out of bamboo sticks and acetate or perspex! At the moment, I am focusing on getting the small scales looking right first and later on will work on a bigger scale.
Thats all for now!

The Urban Environment
I started some tonal works last week like i previously wrote about,im starting to see my source in a different light now,i am looking at its tectures and its structure more than anything else so i think my next step after my tonal studies should be 3-D studies. Possibly making the window out of wire, paper straws, etc anything that will explore its form further! Will update on this new idea soon =)

Monday (project)
Practised more on watercolour painting today, starting to enjoy it more now i know how to do it!Hopefully my series of different types of painting will be finished tomorrow evening, so i can get started on A1 sized paintings. I also want to do different types of tonal works, including ink which is something i have not worked with yet so that should be interesting. I will get all this work done this week, i am determined to achieve that. Will update my progress later on in the week.

Project Development
Hello again!
My project is coming along a lot in recent weeks!I feel i know the direction i am going in now thanks to a few seminars, demonstrations and tutorials i've had. In the first and second week i was unsure of what i was doing, but now i feel more secure and sure in what i am working on now. The 3-D demonstration really got ideas flowing in my head and the colour demonstration also helped in my painting skills to not be afraid of bright colours. I am learning so much, and really soaking in as much as i can that will help me in this project. This week,i worked further in my source(which is a beautiful, old window situated beside my desk), i finished a charcoal drawing of the opening mechanism, which while i was working on got me thinking of making a 3-D clay model of that. I also experimented with pallette painting(learning from the painting tutors that its best to start at the back and work to the front of the painting),i learned a lot from this experience which will help me in my next painting! My next mission to achieve is to experiment with different types of painting, not just acrylic, but to use watercolours and oils too. I also am going to include the inside as well as the outside of the window. Sylvia and Grainne were a great help this week for me.
Thats all for now but i will write soon!

The Urban Environment
When i think of the urban environment, i immediately think of buildings and architecture. My project is going to be based on that. At the moment i am researching and experimenting, but will have more to talk about soon!
